Online Training & Classes

You can learn with me even if you’re not in Seattle. All interactions are real-time, and throughout the session you’ll be able to see my screen, or I’ll be able to see yours. Online training eliminates travel time, the cost of gas, the hassle of parking, and as a bonus, you can learn in the comfort of your own home. As an added bonus, my online classes and labs are less expensive and more flexible than traditional classroom training.

I can provide online training in the following:

• HTML & CSS
• Dreamweaver CS4
• Flash CS4
• Wordpress & Movabletype
• HTML eMail
• Final Cut Pro & Final Cut Express
• iMovie / iDVD
• Video podcasting & screencasting
• Photoshop

Multi-session online classes meet 1 session per week, for 2 hours. All multi-session online classes/labs are recorded during each session and made available for all class participants, so if you miss a session, you won’t fall behind. 1:1 online sessions and 1-session classes/labs are not recorded.

I use DimDim web conferencing for my online training. For 1:1 online sessions, I highly recommend Skype, because it will free up your phone lines, and save your cell phone minutes.

Important! In order to learn online with me, you’ll need the following:

• A broadband internet connection
• Skype (free)
• A web browser (Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc)

Prior to all online classes and labs, I’ll email you DimDim conferencing information for the session.

Training Policies/Terms of Service

1:1 Training (in-person and online):

• All individual training sessions (both online and in-person), are a minimum of 2 hours.
• I cannot schedule last-minute (less than 48 hours in advance), or same day training sessions.
• Unless special arrangements have been made, I only provide training sessions Monday – Friday, between 9am – 5pm PST.
• All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to each training session or you will be charged for the full, scheduled training session.
• A travel free will be charged for each 1:1 training session outside the city of Seattle, WA. (Online training sessions are exempt.)
• Payment for all on-site training sessions must be made immediately following the completion of each session.
• Payment for all online training sessions must be made prior to each session.
• A $35 fee will be charged for all checks returned for insufficient funds.

Online Classes & Seattle Labs:

• Unless noted, all online class sessions are real-time, and meet one time per week, for 2 hours.
• Payment for all online training sessions must be made prior to each session.
• A $35 fee will be charged for all checks returned for insufficient funds.

Online Classes & Seattle Lab Cancellation Policy:

• All online training and Seattle lab cancellations must be made at least 5 full business days prior to the scheduled lab date and/or scheduled start date of the online class, at which time, 95% of the class/lab fee will be refunded. The non-refundable 5% of the fee covers processing expenses.
• All online training and Seattle lab cancellations made with less than 5 full business days are non-refundable.
